Strobing...The New Contour....

Happy Monday Everyone!

I've decided to start blogging every Monday to keep it nice and consistent instead of random blogs popping up!

Any whoosers...Today I am going to talk about Strobing! It is the newest thing in the beauty MUST DOs. Basically all strobing consist of is highlighting to the extreme and using your natural tone as a contour. In my opinion I am always going to be a contour kind of gal but strobing is really awesome for some who cant get the contour technique down or don't really want too much makeup on your face. Follow the steps below for strobing, I do not currently have any photos to post but I will get them up sometime today!

Steps:
1. Prime face with a illuminating primer (I use L'oreal True Match LUMI in Golden)

2. Use a light weight foundation to allow some of your natural skin to show through. Matte finishes do not work for this look because you want to have a dewy glow! (I use MAC satin finish in NC42)

3. Then you are going to pick a concealer and highlight your basic areas and high points of your face. i.e. under your eyes, forehead, chin, and nose. MAKE SURE TO BLEND! (I use Maybelline Age rewind)

4. Take a setting powder and set all the areas you highlighted so there are no creases and it last throughout the day!(I use Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette for this)

5.(BEFORE THIS STEP ADD YOUR BLUSH) Add a little more of the liquid highlighter (LUMI) to the tops of your cheek bones to make the powder highlight stand out! ALWAYS DO LIQUIDS BEFORE POWDERS.

6. Choose a highlighter and a fan brush and lightly dust the highlighter on the tops of your cheek bones, your nose, brow bone top and bottom, cupids bow, a little on your chin and for head. (I use Mary lou manizer by the BALM)

7. Finish the rest of your makeup ex. lips and eyes.

8. Use a dewy setting spray to set your makeup and give you that beautiful dewy finish! (I use NYX)

Now that you are all done you are a glowing Goddess!

Like I said I will probably always be a contour gal but this is a beautiful look! (Maybe more of a summer look) it is basically highlighting on steroids lol but of course they have to give it a new "flashy" name!

Let me know what you guys think about strobing would you do it, do you do it, or did this post help you out!

Always remember I do giveaways on my Instagram monthly!
